Welcome to slnb Ltd at slnbmusic.co.uk and its affiliates provide access to the slnbmusic.co.uk, cool-notes.co.uk, cool-notes.com, starforaday.me.uk, mcintoshandcharles.co.uk websites (the "website") and sell our products to you subject to the conditions set out on this page.

Please read these conditions carefully before using the slnbmusic.co.uk, cool-notes.co.uk, cool-notes.com, starforaday.me.uk, mcintoshandcharles.co.uk websites. By using the slnbmusic.co.uk, cool-notes.co.uk, cool-notes.com, starforaday.me.uk, mcintoshandcharles.co.uk websites, you signify your agreement to be bound by these conditions. In addition, when you use any current or future slnbmusic.co.uk, cool-notes.co.uk, cool-notes.com, starforaday.me.uk, mcintoshandcharles.co.uk service you will also be subject to the terms, guidelines and conditions applicable to that service. ("Terms"). If these Conditions of Use & Sale are inconsistent with such Terms, the Terms will control.

1. What you are paying for?

Please note that you are paying for a singing gift experience and/or studio experience and does not in any way include any music that we may provide to you for your use and any music / backing track that you use must be for your private use only.

2. Vouchers

All Gift Experience vouchers will be valid for 12 months from the date of when you purchased. You must Book your session within this time otherwise the voucher will become null and void. (except for when special promotions state otherwise)

a) Star for a day will be able to offer extensions to existing voucher holders providing that they call Star for a day at the advertised contact number or via email to star@slnbmusic.co.uk, this must be done within the valid period of the voucher.

b) Vouchers are non-transferable.

c) If a voucher has expired it cannot be extended.

3. Upgrades

If you would like to change your voucher or if additional time is required to the value of the the session that you have purchased, you will be permitted to upgrade your voucher / session. To do this, you can simply contact us quoting your reference number which you received when you purhased your session voucher. We would then arrange to take payment for the difference in value of the vouchers / sessions.

Any unused time may be carried forward to another studio session at the discretion of the studio management where more than 1 hour remains unused for any reason.

4. Sessions

Star for a day allows the full use of your session time for your use and will not include any setting up or downtime for mixing except for Basic session where you will sing for 30 minutes allowing the remaining time to complete the advertised program. For all other sessions (not including Basic Session) star for a day agree to post within 7 working days subject to the post (not including public holidays and/or postal disputes of any kind) and will be sent via a 'sign for' post service During your chosen session we will generally allow mutiple takes to satisfy the best performance. However should the singer / performer take longer than needed for the completion of their performance this may reduce the total number of chosen songs that the client can perform during their session if more than one song is applicable.

a) Please feel free to bring your own printed lyric sheets with a good sized text however this is part of the service that we provide as long as you give us at least 24 hours notice prior to your session starting. Failure to do so may result in a small delay to your session while we print them for you.

b) Clients are welcome to bring their own backing track on CD, MP3, Memory stick or ipod/mp3 player. Please note these should be backing tracks only as any pre-recorded vocals cannot be removed.

c) Ma we suggest that you rehearse your chosen song(s) before your session, just like a true professional.

5. CD & DVD's

We are licensed by the MCPS for copyright control and all our music / backing tracks are of a professional and high quality Standard.

a) All CD and DVD's which are given to performers at the end of their session must be used for your personal use only, and should not be used for commercial gain, duplicated or distributed. If you intend to use the CD / DVD's for any other use other than personal use, then you must contact your local copyright protection society ie, for the UK, contact M.C.P.S. Ltd .

6. Age and Behaviour

persons under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Due to the limited size of our studio a maximum number of 2 guests can be permitted, All guests should arrive at the same time at the person(s) undertaking the singing / studio experience, other wise admission may not be possible if the session has already started.

a) Please note that If any participant's or guest's behavior causes concern in any way whilst they are at SLNB Studios premises, we reserve the right at all times to ask them to leave immediately. The session will be terminated and the voucher invalidated.

b) No alcohol intake and/or the use of drugs will be allowed on our premesis at SLNB Ltd at anytime.

7) Refunds and Cancellations

a) We will be happy to offer a refund on your voucher/session providing you contact us within 14 days of purchase. However there will be an administration cost of 25% to a maximum of £40 which will be deducted when the refund is given.

b) The refund can only be credited back to the original card used when purchased If at the time of rufund this card has expired then we should be notified in writing providing the up-to-date credit card details so that refund can be made successfully.

c) A refund cancels your voucher/session and renders it invalid immediately.

d) If a singing gift experience/studio session has been booked and the client / recipient cancels within 24 hours before the session is due to start, this will render the voucher invalid and unfortunately no further date can be offered for that voucher / session

e) If recipients fail to attend or arrive too late, for their booked session, this will render the voucher invalid and no further bookings will be offered for that voucher / session (for exceptions see section 8. Events beyond our reasonable control Force Majuere)

f) If a singing gift experience/studio session has been booked and the recipient wishes to cancel their appointment up to 14 days before their booked session date begins, then it may possible that rebookings might exclude weekend and bank holiday slots as these dates tend to be our most popular slots and no immediate weekend and Bank Holiday slots might be available.

g) All cancellations made within 14 days will be subject to a £25 re-booking fee.

8. Events beyond our reasonable control (Force Majuere)

We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under the above conditions, if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights. (see section 7 above) Star for a day will not be liable for any costs resulting in the rescheduling of appointments cancelled, nor will they be under any obligation to offer a refund.
